Some Presidents Support Same-Sex Marriage by kingpin1055 Some Presidents Support Same-Sex Marriage by kingpin1055
I'll be happy to admit that for 2008-2011, I didn't really like President Barack Obama... there are things he's done/received that I still don't agree with... but I respect Obama's decision to become the first President to support same-sex/gay marriage, and the efforts he's made to improve the standard of living for members of the LGBT community in America, which has had an impact beyond the American shores as well.

He's gotten a lot of criticism for the support he's pledged, and so I felt it neccesary for me to show my support of Barack Obama taking those risks... in the form of a variation of the It Gets Better! theme, after working on an earlier design themed to Stonewall's campaign.

Hello! :dummy:

My school's GSA has a bulletin board outside the room we meet in that I have the honor of designing for the month of February. I've decided to go with a Valentines for the LGBT community and I wanted to know if it would be okay with you if I were to print this picture and include it in the display?

If you would prefer that I don't, that's perfectly alright, this is your intellectual property and I'll respect your decision c:

(depending on the response, I may or may not use this picture if you say yes c:)

You have my blessing to include the post in your Gay-Straight-Alliance bulletin board. :)
Hopefully it's one that can be locked behind a plastic display so that opposers can't mess it up.

I'd like to believe he came to the conclusion that it was the right thing to do.

I have read that he's changed his mind about things after hanging out with gay people and seeing they're no different from him.

I agree with kingpin1055 :).

It's...uggh.

Equality's only a radical position when talking to a bigot, so the people who are pussyfooting around supporting gay rights because of 'pragmatism' need to knock that crap off already.

If it helps swing things in our favour and move things along quicker, then it's mutually beneficial.

To be fair he's never "agreed" with it, in fact he stated before taking office it was against his moral convictions. However he's realised being "electable" means supporting anything the opposition will not, so lucky us.
