20 year-old Hamish Haddock the Third is Crown Prince of the Norwegian Royal Family.  He has now come of age and as dictated by tradition he is to take part in the Feast of Affiance, a ceremony where he announces who he has chosen to be his fiancé.  Anyone in his position would naturally be very nervous... unfortunately there's the additional small problem that he hasn't actually proposed to anyone.

An attempt to write a reasonably fleshed out short story, featuring Hiccup and Jack.  I don't feel it's my best piece of writing, but it was a fun challenge trying to lay out all that I'd wanted to feature within the context of a short story.  The penultimate scene with the characters went through so many re-writes, I nearly missed my planned deadline.
