As of 38 minutes ago (midnight, Thursday 25th July 2013) it has been a full week since the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act was signed into law by the Queen... and England & Wales have continued to exist.
Rediculous nonsense as it is, sometimes we do have to take the shrill voices to task over their claims that allowing same sex marriage would lead to the collapse of society.
The pictured newspaper is a parody of the daily newspaper my family gets, which has and continues to oppose same sex marriage (although fortunately there was a good amount of support for the reform on the paper's website in the hours after the legislation became law).

My folks are opponents, they are in the dark though... though at least they consent to the idea of civil unions, and think gay couples should have all the equal rights as couples.
